Here's the quick explanation... Every week, outside of my office in the beautiful Peoples Republic of Santa Monica, the recycling truck comes by and picks up the large bank of bins positioned on Stewart street. The bins are marked "paper only" cardboard only" "glass only" etc.. This is a lousy shot with my new camera phone, but as you can see different bins are being dumped into the same truck. There are 3 more bins, already emptied, behind the truck. I really don't care about recycling, and I believe it's mostly a waste of effort, but this may be the most obvious proof of that I've seen. I'll get better pictures next time. =Ed And...Here's that better picture I promised!
