Chinese Beef and Pea Pods in Crockpot

Ingredients

Amount Measure Ingredient
1to 1 1/2 pounds flank steak
1 cancondensed beef consommme
1/4 cupsoy sauce
1/4 tsp.ground ginger
1 bunchgreen onions -- sliced
2 Tbsp.cornstarch
2 Tbsp.cold water
1 pkg.(7 oz.) frozen Chinese pea pods -- partially thawed

Directions

Thinly slice flank steak diagonally across grain. Combine in crockpot withconsomme, soy sauce, ginger, onions. Cover. Cook on low 5-7 hours. Turn to high.Stir in cornstarch dissolved in water. Cook on high 10-15 minutes. Drop in peapods last 5 minutes. Serve on hot rice.
