Cream Cheese Pound Cake

1 1/2cupsbutter -- softened
1 (8oz.)cream cheese -- softened
3 cupssugar
6 largeeggs
1 1/2tsp.vanilla extract
3 cupsall-purpose flour

1. Beatbutter and cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer 2 minutes or

until mixture is creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating 5 to 7 minutes. Add eggs,one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears. Add vanilla, mixing well.2. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speedjust until blended after each addition. Pour batter into a greased and flourd 10"tube pan.3. Fill a 2 cup, ovenproof measuring cup with water and place in oven with tubepan.4. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours or until a wooden pick inserted in center of cakecomes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 to 15 minutes; remove from pan andcool completely on wire rack.
